2012 Chanel, the Basel Watch and Jewellery Show

To celebrate the 25th Anniversary of Chanel “Première” Series,  Chanel will launch highly complex machinery watches for women for the first time. It is Chanel that adopts floating tourbillon module for the first time after J12 tourbillon in 2005.

Echoing the shape of bottle cap of Chanel N°5 perfume, the inspiration of octagonal dial of Première wrist watch came from the outline of the Palace Vendome in Paris. This “Première” floating tourbillon watch for collection not only possesses the beauty of pure rational design but also has softness, mystery, and poetic charm.

This remarkable Tourbillon watch is the result of close cooperation between Chaneland designers, engineers, and Master Watchmakers from Renaud&Papi of Audemars Piguet in in Sweden. This is the first folating tourbillon developed by those two companies.

This floating tourbillon was carved into the camellias pattern, the favorite of Ms.Chanel. the tourbillon turns silently in the center of  "Première" watch. It is low-key nearly as mysterious. Sparkling petals and stamens studded with diamond echo each other to set off the beauty and delicacy of camellica.
